Hi guys,

So I've had a bit of a change in my personal circumstances, which means I may be forced to sell my car :-(. Which doesn't come easy as I love the car. I am just wondering what you people think I should ask for if i was to sell it, reasonable for what kit is on it etc. Or would anyone on here maybe interested.

So the car is a MY14 6C;
VW Polo SEL 1.2TSi 110PS Bluemotion
3 - door
Pure White
Treated with Auto-Glym Life shine from factory (inside and out)
16" Rivazza Alloy wheels (spare tyre in boot)
Composition Media System
Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)
Electronic Climatic Control (ECC)
Winter Pack (heated washers, seats, headlight washers)
Cruise & Park Pack (cruise control, front & rear parking sensors)
Light & Sight Pack (auto dimming rear view mirror, auto headlights, headlight washers and ambient light & rain sensor)
Electronically Folding Door Mirrors (also heated)

Mileage on the car is 3,200.
Taxed until July 2015
MOT not required.
Mint condition, not a single mark on it.

I can upload some pictures if people wish, have tried but keep getting an error on upload. Anyway, this is the link to the thread with pictures;

Thanks guys!

Use webuyanycar for a rough P/X quote then add £1,000 onto it for a private sale. Plenty of room for them to negotiate price with you then, which they will.

You can also try autotrader to see similar prices but bear in mind, dealers will price more than private sellers due to the nature of them making a profit (Along with possible benefits of buying from dealer).

We buy any car price is down for £9,760! Which I personally think is a joke for the age and spec of the car..

webuyanycar is a horrendous way to value a car.

They'll generally offer you 2-3k less that whats its worth even on part ex

Tax also is irrelevant - gets redunded back to you on sale on the vehicle.

What was the retail price for the car when you bought it?

Roughly £17,000 with everything on it give or take £100/200 either way. Not 100% sure of the exact figure without getting my paperwork from home

Id look on autotrader for a true idea, but given its mileage and spec, I personally would want no less than £13.5-£15k for it

Thanks Alex. I will have a look, suppose it's always finding a buyer though.

It is, but I don't think you'd have difficulty given its spec, age and mileage.

That spec new from Drive the Deal is only a shade over £15000, so used is probably going to be in the £12K-£13K range, depending on how quick a sale you want.

That's worrying then, as VW told me they go on the same database webuyanycar go on!

I've been offered £2.7k for my current car (due to a few touch ups that need doing), yet I paid £5k in Nov 2013, not even done 50,000 and it's an 09 plate!
