Well two ago my polo gti went in to my vw dealer for its oil test Finshing since then I've not had my car back

And been feed a load off guff form the dealer about it and flaming its the vw wanrrty dragging there heals about the claim for a new engine

How long should i wait for answer on this

Under trading stranadards I've been sold a car with damaged engine only had the car for two months and that time the dealer has it 3 weeks now

Anybody had a simpler problems with main dealers

It's always a bit of a grey area legally, so I've been told. However something has to be fit for purpose and you expect reasonable use out of it. Only having the car in your possession for 2 months before problems struck, does that constitute reasonable use, wouldn't have thought so.
Make a complaint through VW customer services if you haven't already, they can sometimes give things a push.
Of course if it does drag on there are legal options.....may be worth getting some advice.

A friend of mine has had her Land Rover freelander in with the dealer for over 18 months now, and has had a loan freelander the whole time.

It has something wrong with the engine, keeps blowing its turbo intake pipe off or something, and they just can't seem to fix it.

They don't seem too bothered about her keeping the loan car,many she isn't too keen to get her old one back, so that's how it's kind of left!

Bizarre really.

Now in the hands off the dealer yawn getting bored of this now

Well 5 weeks later she returns with a new engine so vw say no proof of it !,


The only issue is now it puls to the left going back next for that looking at


Any ideas what it could be its has been tracked

Too many 'horror' stories of these 6R GTI's IMO..... There's no way id part with 10k/used or 18k/new with 10's of stories online with engines failing... Id honestly be sick to my stomach if my GTI had issues that I had read about online....

Out of interest what year is it Longman??
