So I decided to have some more USB charging.
I took the Golf 7 rear armrest assembly like posted here: viewtopic.php?p=589140#p589140

And cut out the USB part
Made a rectangular hole in my armrest
And glued it in...

8) I think I remember that CNK also did a nice installation for USB charging sockets in the armrest... https://www.drive2.ru/l/537529795416686692/

How I got by the issue of the D/S indicator in the lever head not being illuminated.

to illuminate the D/S in S mode. the dsg selector mechanism has some kind of error detection on the LED.
if I connect both one or wires to the D/S LED (T10/6) it will go out after a few seconds. I don't think there is a DSG bit/byte to disable light diagnostics on the dsg lever 😂

Hi iichel
I tried using your scheme with optocoupler relay to install led dsg lever on my 6R. Unfortunately it didn't work perfectly for me. I went into some deep thinking and experimenting after which I came out enlightened with a simple solution.

I tricked the new led dsg lever with a rectifier diode without using optocoupler relay  . Works just perfect... super happy.🤩🤓

Will share the details soon in my thread.

Haha great. Does your led stay on with a running engine too?

From 2.3.1 to 2.3.2, in case you might be interested.

Info for everyone:
It is moderately good for ICs after 2014 with 0805 SW -->, also logically for those before 2014, 0709, etc. (mainly European and Chinese market).
It avoids having to disassemble the IC to activate some functions in the EEPROM and some other things... read on the official website.
