6n2 Airbags Replacement

Hi,
Crashed my Polo in the most stupid way ever... Icy roads...
Well, the car front has only with minor scratches, but both airbags blew on my face and the windscreen cracked with the pressure...
Windscreen I won't even touch, I'll leave it for a professional.
But for the airbags I can manage to do it, but I have some questions if you guys can help me with.
1) How can I know if the impact sensor is ok, and not triggered (it would be a shame if I installed a new ones and they blew instantly)
2) Does the ECU needs any kind of reseting?
3) The passengers seat airbag seams not very easy to replace. Any advise? Or instructions I can follow?
(I'm quite upset, since for the last 3 months I refurbished most of the electrical instalation, bought myself new heaters for the seats, repaired broken window switch...anyway...)
