Bonnet strut help

Bought 2nd hand bonnet strut off eBay for my 9n3, does it matter if it's a 9n bonnet strut? Not sure if it will fit. Thanks

I would also like to know about this, i have read and heard loads of stories with bonnet lifters.
Some said the bonnet will start to lift/bend over a few years.
some people say you need one on each side. the list goes on,
Not to hijack your thread, did you get yours strut off of a polo 9. there is a thread about these - have a look below see if it helps with positioning.
