Misfiring & limp mode

Changed the spark plugs couple days back whilst doing an oil change service.. Drove the car and it was fine.. Running smooth!

Finished up and then headed out about 30 mins after doing the service.. and the car misfired whilst accelerating. It then bleeped and the EPC, Check Engine and Traction Control warning lights turned on.

Took the plugs out thinking they were the wrong ones, and they appeared shorter than the older ones - so we placed the old ones back in but still the car wont like it.

From Idle to 2000rpm.. The engine will be misfiring.. But on higher revs, it runs fine.

Ran VCDS Diasgnostics and it brought up the following : (see attached pictures)

Any ideas?

Are they prone to failing?

on the TSI engines, yes.

(since you are mentioning EPC, I assume you have a TSI engine and active cylinder technology/shutting is available only on the blue GT?)

I do yes - 1.2 TSI

If it was, wouldnt it be constant misfire across the rev range? Not just around idle?

that I'm not sure about, but chain issues are common in the TSI and chain issues can cause misfires.

why only in low revs, I don't know that

Turned out to be HT Leads!
So happy it wasn't anything worse

We switch 2 cables over and the Cylinder 1 misfire moved to Cylinder 2..
So concluded it was them, just replaced for £45 and its working a dream!
