I just picked up my GTi about 2 weeks ago, absolutely love it, but there seems to be a squeak from front left wheel when going under 20mph sounds, but not when braking. Any ideas?

Yep, it will be the brake disc rubbing ever so slightly on the brake pads, only audible at low speeds. It will probably disappear after a few more miles, nothing to worry about.

How many miles have you done? It can also be incorrectly mounted brake pads or too much brake fluid, best to check with your dealer too.

I've done just under 500 miles atm, should it have gone by now? I don't recall it being there at the start

Do the discs look ok? ie. No sign of scoring on them which could indicate some kind of trapped debris between disk and pad?

Hi,
I have the same problem with my new polo. It's got just over 500 miles on it. What was the outcome of yours? Did it stop or was it a dealer job?

Mine did the same, was really loud early on but has pretty much gone now at 4000km. It still does it a little, but it's not nearly as bad as it was.
