Flat black paint

So I've recently ordered a Polo GTI with flat black paint, but I'm starting to get buyers remorse as I keep reading bad things about this finish.
Does anyone have flat black paint and have anything good to say about it? It's too late to change the order, I just want peace of mind that I've chose correctly really.
Cheers
Dean

Yeah, know of a couple people with that colour whose paint started peeling from the bonnet after about 4-5 months
Just kidding
It should be fine, easier to maintain than normal paint. Probably hasn't got a clear coat so you won't get any swirls. You won't need need to polish it too
EDIT: by flat black I thought u meant matte black, if its non metallic it'll be like any other paint

It's quality paint and looks pretty much the same as the Deep Black Pearl. This last one only stands out in the sun.

I'm guessing you're in Penarth? I'm there quite a lot with our dog, so will keep my eye out for your car.

Yep - in Lower Penarth. I'll keep an eye out for another black GTI soon then! You're from outside Penarth I take it?
If you are looking be aware that it just looks like normal metallic black unless the sun is shining on it when it just is slightly less reflective.

Just around the corner in Cardiff Bay.
Should get it in early July. My Mk4 Golf GTI has lost a few horses over the years, so cannot wait!

Just a few weeks then
I've just been out for a short drive in it again and it is quite spectacular really. It just keeps pulling in gears you'd not expect it to be able to have any zip in at all. I had to buy an old shape Polo 1.4SE for my son to learn to drive in so I'm used to the size of the car, but it's not until you get it on the road with a bit of poke in the engine that you realise how useful it is to have a narrower car as you can find your way through bends far easier than a wider car would allow.
You've just reminded I've still got to sell the old Polo - I just stuck it in the garage and had forgotten about it...

Cardiff VW picked me up from work one day and let me test drive one. Drove for about 15 minutes, with a quick blast down the link road... After a drive in a Scirocco, an Audi A3 and an Audi A1, it was quite an easy decision to make.
