1.4TSI Coil Packs

Right Guys,
As a lot of you know, the coilpacks on the GTI and other 1.4TSI engines seem to be a common fault and cause misfires etc.
Now an upgrade that can be done is the Okada Plasma Coil pack upgrade, but this is very expensive at about £800...

I've seen a couple of guys fit Audi R8 Coil packs... These are about a 10th of the price... but do they actually fit?
All the cars I've seen with them fitted have been abroad and I've struggled to translate what they have actually done

So can anyone tell me if they are a straight swap and if so, what model R8 Coil Packs do i need to be buying

Thanks in advance

A friend of a friend has a mk6 golf r with these r8 coil packs. And after looking at my 6r gti he said that there too big for our engines :( however if you manage to find an alternative car that runs a stronger coil pack I will be buying them straight away!!

Nice one Clarkyy! Just anything will be better than the original Coil Packs, even if its just a swap for the 2.0tfsi ones

Forgot about this one sorry , no didn't get an answer. The tuners advice is buy a 2.0tsi if you want to modify. Hence the sale of mine and the purchase of a golf r [emoji23][emoji23] VWR intake for sale if your interested. Only covered about 500 miles
