Instrument lighting when headlights are on?

I have had my Blue Gt for a couple of months now and I have noticed that when I turn the sidelights on the instrument dials do not illuminate is this normal?

When you turn the headlight switch to the first position.

Daytime but quite low light levels. E.g. I noticed it this morning at 7:15 am driving to the station.

The cluster is adaptive in daytime. If it doesnt need to light up, it wont.

Thanks for the info. I will go out this evening when it is dark and see if they illuminate then.

It's only adaptive with the light switch at the 0 possition. Should be fully illuminated at the two other possitions..

May sound stupid, but what about the instrument dimmer switch?

I guess since it's a 6C, the dimmer is not in his car.

I have been out in the dark and when I turn the lights to the first position all the steering wheel and radio buttons light up but not the dials. The needles are lit up but nothing else until I actually turn on the xenons.
