Well that was an epic. After my wife's polo started to judder and make strange noises including the ac fan playing up. I did lots of research rather that handing over the car and bank account access to the main dealer. My vcds diagnostic showed low pressure regulation which worst case meant the turbo had gone. I replaced a few sensors, and after a few trial runs my dpf light came on as well as the engine management and coil lights. I eventually found the route cause which was a split hose on the turbo inlet. Bought a replacement for £10 inc p and p from Internet. Then after further research was able to perform forced dpf regen ( I had tried the usual 2000-2500 rpm for 15 mins) the coil light went out straight away end I gave it a run after a while the dpf light went out. I then hooked up my vcds and cleared the fault light. Ran the car again all ok no faults found , dpf measured ash contents down to 6g. Really enjoyed sorting out the problem( once done). Is the turbo hose splitting a regular issue?
