Hi, I am from India, and this is my first post here.
I am in distress, as I purchased a used cluster from a seller on eBay. This cluster is from the 2011-2013 Polo 1.4 GTi. My car is a Polo 1.2 TSI.
I know for a fact, that this cluster is compatible with my car, but my dealer doesn't know how to adapt a used cluster. He says he needs the key or barrel of the donor car of the used cluster.
Now I have bought this online from Sweden, Denmark and I have mailed the seller too, to help me with this. But I doubt, he will have the required information.
What is the information I need to adapt a used cluster to my car?

you need someone that can re-write the eeprom in order to adjust the immobilizer and possibly also the mileage, since an instrument lcuster with more than 200km cannot be adopted to a new car without hacking the firmware

So, does this mean that the cluster cannot be over written and adapted even at VW dealership level?
