They do look like Volkswagen alloys. Think they are BBS. Just don't know the name for them. I think also (if you are buying those ones), they should come with hub caps.

I'm sure that these are the wheels that were on the golf VR6, but i agree that they should have centre caps.

They are Golf Mark2 something or other. Not VR6 though. I'm sure, however, that I've seen those on a Rado.

Sorry I disagree - those wheels look like they have never had or would accept hub centres - Vauxhall used to do some similar wheels but I'm sure they are not Vauxhall ones.

Surely there will be some Identifing marks on the back of the wheels

ET?? Rim Width x Diameter and normally a manufacturers logo.

hey guys,

I have just checked the wheels in my mates garage....no identifying marks whatsoever!

not a thing anywhere on the wheel.

they should have caps but he has no idea what happened to them.
He got the wheels on a mk1 golf cabby he used to own, and shoved them in the garage when he got new ones.

I'm not 100% and i'm hoping the wheel whore himself will confirm this but i reckon the wheels are bbs rj (6 x 14, ET38)

As fitted to the Golf Mk1, Mk2, Scirocco Mk2

Come on pettsy a bit of whoring for you to be had here....confirm i'm correct ;-)

defo not vr6 as they are 5 stud.

i would hazard a guess at early bbs's, i think they should have a centre cap with one large fake nut. as for a name...im on the case

Definately either RJ or RG altho i think they look more like 14" RJ's since they have a bit of a lip. i like em tho

found this on the web anyways:

BBS RJ (6 x 14, ET38) (6½ x 15, ET33)

From: Golf Mk1, Mk2, Scirocco Mk2

Run-out model 8v Mk2 GTis were fitted with big bumpers and 14" BBS rims as standard. The only obvious ways to tell them apart from their 16v counterparts were the 15" BBS wheels and beesting aerial which the 16v came with.

Those wheels look like BMW 3 series ones to me. They look the same as the ones on Barney Smith's G40:
