has anyone seen T16c (J162)?

Dear cute people,

as you may know, my hobby is making my car look like a 6C. And instead of selling the 6R and buying a 6C, there is the beautifully complicated and satisfying world of modding.
Now, I'm retrofitting the 6C Climatronic panel to the car and it works mostly. Only it doesn't get warm so fast.

So I think, maybe the auxillary heating is not wired correctly. Check all wires, right?

So the wire from ECU T96/19 to J162 T16c on J162 caught my eye. I cannot find J162 in my car.

So let's ask ElsaWIN for J162.

It finds it here:

Indeed the F268 is also present, the auxillary heating switch.
Perhaps J162 is the climatronic control unit? It does have the T16 connector (interface with the car) and a T20 connector (interface with the motors and sensors).

But no. The T16 connector on the climatronic control unit is already connected to the sunlight sensor.
Anyone knows where The wire from the ECU to J162 has to be?

It is rather strange that VW describes the wire for Climatronic only (see asterisk on first image) but T16c appears to be a manual airco connector.
The T16 connector of the climatronic has a different name too.

Disclaimer: My car has the 7E0 BCM from the T6 Transporter, I cannot guarantee it works on the Polo 6R with other BCM.

J162 is definitely the climatronic panel

T16i and T16c must be different connectors, like T6ag and T6ah

Presumably T94/19 is the ECU and T10c is the bulkhead wiring connector?

Yes T10c is the connector between engine bay and interior, next to the fan.

The problem is, T16 on the climatronic does not have many free spaces, only 1, 10 and 11

T16/1
T16/2 sunlight sensor T4/2
T16/3 sunlight sensor T4/3
T16/4 N280 T2/1
T16/5 Can conv hi
T16/6 Can conv lo
T16/7 G65 T3/2
T16/8 Radiator control
T16/9 Radiator control
T16/10
T16/11
T16/12 +12V Terminal 30a
T16/13 GND
T16/14 Fan T6/6
T16/15 Fan T6/1
T16/16 Fan T6/3

I'm starting to think that maybe the T16c needs an asterisk with * only on vehicles with manual airconditioning

I would be tempted to agree.

Wonder where the auxilliary heater has moved to then. Looks like you need to trace B217

Is there another elsawin diagram?

My guess would be that the auxillary heater is activated by CAN. What diagram would you like to see?

B217 goes to the output relay J360. It heats two elements S131 and S132
The other output relay, low heat, is the middle line going to '11' from S133.

Yeah i would think so. Is it showing on VCDS as a controllable module?

Was wondering if there is a diagram showing B217 onwards off of the diagram

the heater is activated through the relays J359 and J360, and the relays are controlled by the ECU J623 (at the bottom of the image below).

here is an image. B217 is the black line at 22.

CAN controlled as such then

Yes would be my guess too
