So up until now I've just been dropping my SLI number into the VW tracker and my build date is this week.

However today I created a VW account and added the tracker number and it says the build day is next week.

I phoned VW and they say that my car is almost built and will be moved to transport next week. So in a way none of the above matters I still get two different dates for the same status depending on whether I am logged into the site or not.

Odd.

I try and see the good in everything, but the VW tracker is basically useless.

The tracker tells me one thing. My dealer tells me another thing. The ladies on the end of the phone at 0800 333 666 tell me another thing, and then the next day - a whole 'nother thing.

My new GTI was supposed to be with me in January, but I'm not even sure if it will be February at this rate

I'm beginning to suspect I may get a better idea of what's going on by shouting into a bucket.

Mine was the same. I was given 2 different build weeks, the later of the 2 appeared to be the correct one in the end. The tracker seemed to jump stages as well.

It seems the more accurate thing is to contact VW direct. I did it via Twitter and they replied the same day with info which turned out to be accurate.

Did you just tweet at VW UK or DMd them?
