how do you get the f***ing things to shut up?

this bird has been driving me crazy this week, what with me working 6 nights

absolutely knackered because its been keeping me awake (kinda why i've been online til 7, 8am as well - just staying up til i drop down exhausted cuz otherwise im just lying there) - and it's in the furthest room in the house from my bedroom, be a nightmare if i had to share with it.

if it wasnt the pet of a small cousin who i am both 1. fond and 2. completely terrified of, it'd be either roaming free in the bushes outside, or sleeping the endless nuclear sleep of the viciously microwaved by now.

put a dark sheet over its cage but that has had an effect on it's chirrupings that could only be measured with an electron microscope!

air rifle + 1 pellet + noisy birdy = dead quiet birdy lol

the stupid thing has to survive unfortunately!

found an ok method in the end - just pile coats on top of the cage until it becomes dark enough inside for it to go to sleep

might have to stick a fan and some ducting thru there though, only did that for about a half hour when the thing was doing my head in and i had to make phone calls!

Get a cat - they go real quiet then
