Hey guys,

I have a VW Polo 1.6 GTI 6N2. The engine has the code ACR on it and its starting to play up, instead of spending hundreds of £ to fix it, i have found another engine to buy that has done 50,000 less miles than my current one and comes with a 1 year warranty. The only thing the code on this engine is an AVY, and i was wondering if this will be a direct swap into my current car or will their be problems? They look almost identical and from what i've read they are built nearly 100% the same with a few little things different that dont matter? Any help would be appreciated.

ARC to AVY are 99% indentical. The only main differences were for changes in emissions law.
