I now appreciate the quality of my car much more...

My car finally goes in for repair this week and this afternoon the insurance company (well, car rental company) delivered a brand new (old model) Vauxhall Astra 1.6 SXi Twinport to me.
I honestly can't believe this car went out of production a few months ago! The build quality is beyond belief, panel gaps not consistent, rattling dashboard, creaking plastics, doors weigh about as much as Kit Kat wrappers. I can't believe this car tried to compete with MK4 Golf, yet it can't even match the quality of a VW supermini!
I could go on, but the point is I'm gonna miss my car while its being repaired, badly!

Some Barry Boy tried to do a handbrake turn on wet grass, i'll leave the rest to your imagination. But I was in the car when it happened and I honestly don't think I've swore so much in my entire life!

It kinda makes you realise that the complaints we've aimed at the new polo aren't *quite* as bad as we think!

Hear hear, I totally agree, although we're always moaning about problems with our 9Ns, I believe they're nothing compared to alot of other superminis..... even compared to some saloons!!!
Is it time to restore our faith in our trustworthy Polos??

Yeah gotta say all the problems are minor. Trouble is some of em are minor but damned annoying because you notice them everyday, like the squeaking, rattling, creaking dashboard (have say the new vw franchise holders here had a go at fixing it and did some good).
