1.2 TDI idling issue.

Hi all,
I'm currently driving a 5 door 1.2 TDi 61 plate.
Just recently I have noticed a problem with the idling of the car.
The car usually revs around 800 rpm however I've noticed it begins to idle at just above 1000 rpm just recently, the car however still drives perfectly fine and there isn't any warning lights or lack of power etc.
I have been googling this matter all morning but cannot find anyone else with a 1.2 TDi having the same problem, just a couple of posts with people having issues with the 1.6 TDi or petrol models and idling which is why I am asking on here.
I bought the car in August 2015 and I have noticed the car idle above 1k some times, but not very often since purchase, I've just realised that this idling issue has become more frequent now.
Another question too is that the bulb light keeps appearing on my dash as I drive along and all bulbs are working fine and connections all seem fine. Anyone able to help me there?
