All the speakers are standards however the current stereo is a Kenwood KDC-3021 http://www.amazon.co.uk/Kenwood-KDC-302 ... B00007BKQZ

I currently have:
FLI 12" 1kw Sub using 250w AMP included with it ( I believe this doesnt hook up with the current stereo) (shown in image) (not sure if works entirely)

I am looking at ordering:
Stereo:
Kenwood KDC-264UB
Link: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00 ... UU23PMFGUZ

Speakers:
JBL Car CS7 Series 6-1/2 Inch Component
Do the little speakers go in the dash?
link: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00 ... ROKL5A1OLE

Extras i have been told i may need:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00 ... ROKL5A1OLE

Just want to know what will and wont work with this setup and how difficult it will be to install, sorry this is my first car and have no idea about this stuff
Any suggestions would be welcomed

Cheers,
Lewis

Your current radio looks quite new. Pop it off, and check if there are rca:s in the back, then it should work with the sub.

You can put the little speakers, tweeters I believe they are called, in the dash, but I didin't notice s big difference doind this. It just gives little better high sounds. I'd reccommend you buy speakers that have the tweeter in the middle of them.

If I were you I would use all my money to sound dampen the car.

What does sound dampening do exactly however?

Well, atleast in my polo the doors rattle and make lots of noices. The same applyes to the trunk. This also makes the speakers sound blend and dissapear with the noice the doors make. I have noticed that expecially in high speeds the bass and mid sounds are very bad. Therefore 50 pounds on new speakers is pretty useless, since the sound is sitll bad because of the undampened doors. get it? :)

The sound dampening helps. around 50-100 pounds you should be able to dampen the doors. I also believe that the dampening will help getting more bass, since the sound wont "escape" to the car frame.

I haven't yet done mine, but popped just the door panel off. very easy to do, found this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5RGqxQ8CT2g

Yeah, sorry mate, I have fitted the stereo I was looking at, havent got round to getting the 6.5's yet, and as I cannot drive yet, I'm going to wire up the sub when I can drive or I'll run the battery flat
Ill post pictures of everything when its all sorted.

I'm just going to get all the speakers done, and then I'll sound dampen the doors if its something that seems like a worthy investment
