Hi,

Does anyone have any experience with the after market Chinese auto headlight sensor and module

http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/251555972840?fits=Car+Make%3AVW

I want to pick one up as I can't be fussed with oem hacking and slicing bcm wiring and installation seems to look easy on this one, not to mention is adds ch/lh lights!

I have heard horror stories that the switch doesn't illuminate in the dark? Opinions please!

:D

they're coming home and leaving home lights

really the headlights turn on when you unlock and lock the door for a set period of time from anywhere from 10 seconds to i think 30 seconds

I've read quite a few threads on these. Can anyone clarify what additional wiring etc needs to be done. I'm guessing it's not as simple as plug and play. Some threads mention wiring into the BCM module, others installing relays. Then recoding through vcds

Are there different versions of these some easier to install than others.

Which one is it you've ordered

Yes please tell us which one you ordered, they look fairly simple. module sits between light switch and cable connector, light sensors sit behind a pillar trim.

Only thing is you don't want to cheap out on it because some people report their auto light switch not lighting up at night (no red illumination on dial)

So no reprogramming of systems required or additional wiring into BCM etc, just plug and play
