Before I start hacking into that lovely German wiring is there likely to be a plug anywhere?

I believe it can all be tagged off the add on connector on the rear light bulb holders

Is that on both sides?
Am I looking for something on the loom or on the cluster?

Both sides. It actually on the bulb holder itself. Youll see some spare pins on the back of it

Ideally youll want to use the side that has the reverse light

That's got to be better than chopping wires.
Where can I get the plugs?
Or would 1/8 spade females push onto the contact blades?

Managed a tidy job, not hard to remove crimps from connector shells, wrap, solder & click back in.
