So I've gone and brought myself a polo 9n3 gti 1.8 turbo

I've had her a couple of months and really enjoying it very under rated car

This is my progress of turning her from standard too show standards (hopefully) lol

This is her standard the pint was ruined so first thing was a full machine polish

Then I changed the badges to red instead of silver the vw badge will go to led eventually

Just a little touch putting a gti sticker on the wing mirror glass

Finally had the windows tinted with a surviving the night life sticker

This week I have been painting the calipers as they were flaking going for a special colour instead of the basic read ;) and the wheels are also getting a refurb until I can afford a new set of rotas

Here's a couple of pics of my progress so far

I've got a big list of things tbh but it's all about funds atm

Going to get a milltek turbo back pipe then have the rest custom made so it can be louder than the milltek systems

Boost gauge and remap
Induction kit
Glass made up to go under the heat shield
Fit some vxr recaro seats eventually but atm their still quite expensive

Custom make my own rear bumper
Smooth the front bumper and door mouldings
Led rear badge and led front grills wired to a switch so I don't get pulled
Get bits under the engine bay hydro dipped
Red silicone hoses
Metal battery cover

Ebiach lowering kit which is the main thing cost £800
Boot build then look into getting the interior retrimmed so get rid of that plastic look

My main goal atm is to try get her to around 250 bhp with a nice bassy sound system and lowered I'm not doing bad as I've only had her 4 months

Looking very tidy under the bonnet!
How did you do the engine cover to get it to come out that well? Was it professionally done?
Got a Shadow Blue GTi myself and really want to colour code the engine cover on mine.

Going to be doing performance mods later in the year and hope to get mine to around 220ish BHP

Iv had mine almost 9 and not nearly done as much as you have in 4 haha.

Awesome mate
I work in a professional body shop so painted it myself :)

I'm keen to modify her brought a toe strap for it on the weekend and fitted it today but didn't like it so it may come off tomorrow

Also brought some fly eye film but it was cheap stuff from a show and didn't work that well so my next approach is to by so eye lids instead and see how that looks

These are easily done to get to 220bhp you can get a remap without changing a thing and it will take it to 205bhp
So with a exhaust and induction kit you should be getting close to that mark

I'm going to wait to get mine remapped until I've put my exhaust and induction kit on so its mapped with all those parts on

Problem is now I've started spending I can't stop ;) addiction lol
