Polo 6r steering wheel upgrade from golf mk6

Hi there, this is my first post so apologies if it's in the wrong section. I have read up a lot about the steering grade mods on here but I haven't been able to find an exact solution, my question is can the non multifunctional flat bottom leather steering wheel and airbag from a golf mk6 be fitted into a polo 6r, the person I'm buying it off had it fitted in an mk5 golf so I am under the impression that I can use the wiring loom out of my polo 6r airbag and plug it into the airbag of the mk6 steering wheel with no hassle and no soldering, just a simple plug and play job. Just worried that I might get a dashboard full of errors or my horn won't work as I'm not so savvy with electrics
My polo is a 2014 polo 1.2 match edition 6r
