6R GTI Milltek Exhaust

Hello Everyone

I'm sure this has been talked about a few times and if so then please point in the right direction!

I'm looking at getting a Milltek Exhaust for my 6R GTI but no idea whether to go for the resonated or non resonated. I'm obviously looking to go louder than stock but not stupidly loud. I'm sure I read somewhere that the resonated is in essence the same as stock but I'm not sure so any advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

I have the resonated Milltek on my Polo.

It is louder than stock. (The pipes are bigger and the the mufflers are straight flow so you can't compare it to stock)

it's is an awesome exhaust. :)

Get a custom one! Cheaper and better quality. Milltek welds aren't great.
My stainless system cat back is larger at 2.5" and i have a tiny silencer in it, cost me £350

Joshers, who did your exhaust for you?

Have you just gone for cat back or full system?

Thanks for the reply guys!

If I go down the route of milltek I'll go for the resonated.

As Wullie asked, Josher where did you get your exhaust made?

I can't see where I can PM on this forum. Luke, can you give me a price on a system for a manual 1.8 GTI 6c.

2.75" would probably be plenty but what are the thoughts on 3"

I know the downpipe would still be the main restriction. Can you do downpipes? Cat?

Cheers
Wullie

Have a look at the Remus System.
It's valved so you can go for the non-res system and then close the valves for quieter driving.
Amazing quality and there's different options for tailpipes.
