Hi, just bought a set of h&r 25/40mm lowering springs for my 1.2tsi but still unsure if I should fit them or not? What's the ride gonna be like? Will it cause any damage to the dampers and stuff? Also will it scrape on things it normally wouldn't? Thanks

Hi there. I bought genuine lowering springs from vw for my 6r 1.2tsi. No scrapping. rides as little bit firmer but nothing uncomfortable. Looks good to. Not to low either so i can get over speed bumps. Hope this helps.

I have the H&R 35/55mm lowering springs . The ride is way lower of course and its firmer. Going over speed bumps isn't a problem for me , the biggest problem is going in and out of car lots that have that raised up curb from the street it self.
But the only thing that's scraping is the mudflaps so the car itself isn't getting any damage. Also i havent had any problems with my dampers and ive had mine in since around May of last year.
Soooo...Haha all in all you should be good

This is mine on 35/55 H&R springs.

is that on the 17" just trying to get an idea as dont want my gti too low but stock it has way to much arch gap and since having it remapped is not sticking to the corners that well

Not easy to say - find the 6R GTI here:

I think the PR-codes for your car gives the answer...
