Polo 6C Dashcam fusebox negative terminal?

Hi all,

Got my 6C about 6months ago now, and recently had some scrote damage my wing whilst it was parked.
I want to connect a dash cam to the fusebox, but i'm struggling to find a good negative point to connect to.

My cable enters through the underside of the front driver side A-pillar trim. I was thinking of just slipping the negative wire under a bolt somewhere, but thought i'd ask in case there's a better place to get 0V with respect to the fusebox from?

Thanks,
Austin

you're looking for a ground/mass point?

any brown wire will do, where will you mount the dash cam?

I'd rather not splice an existing wire. Are there any bolts i can put a ring crimp underneath to get ground in/around the fuse box?

I'm going to put it behind the drivers side of the rear view mirror (as there's a ambient light sensor on the passenger side). The cable runs underneath the roof lining, and behind the driver-side A-pillar (which is all removed at present).

I've got the cable fron the top of the dash down to the underside of the steering wheel where the fusebox is, but wanted to not have to splice wires (on a 7month old car) if it can be helped.
