2014 R Line Style Ignition Issue

Hey All,
I was wondering if anyone had seen an issue on Polos with starting from electric position on the ignition.
The issue takes hold randomly and the only way to get the car to fire first time is to come back on ignition to off and start again and works without fail.
I have had the car in 3 different VW garages, was told by one it was software and that they fixed it (they didn't) another it was a design feature they then changed their mind to a faulty barrel/ignition and the third that there is nothing wrong with the car.
This doesn't happen every time, it can be fairly inconsistent to extremely annoying on a car thats just over 2 years old.....
