Track wheels and pads for 6C Gti?

After a trackday at Snetterton I think the car would benefit from some uprated pads and some semi slick (or just better) tyres.
What spec are the standard wheels? I know they are 5X100 and I believe 7.5 wide and 17" but do not know the ET. Will most VAG 17" wheels fit?
Also where are pads available from?
