Picked up our ex demo yesterday and there was condensation in both fog lights , it is nearly 24 hrs later and still the same. Dealer says this is due to the steam clean it gets before wax and should dry out. But it shouldn't get in at all ahould it ? I am assuming the Fog Light is a sealed unit ? Anyone had this issue ?
Also i was thinking of starting another topic of what can be upgraded on the R Line 6C from standard or will it be the same as Circlo's thread ? Find it strange that ours doesn't have auto lights and rain/light sensor so cannot open the car and lights come on , unless someone says otherwise ?

the fog lights are ventilated. you could take the bulb out of the unit and let it dry.

Well, if that car has just been washed "aggressively", then some water will have gone in via the drain/vent tube?
When you say "auto lights" do you mean that that car should have a position on the main lighting switch that switches the lights on when it gets dark, or are you using that phrase to describe what happens when you open the door and the interior lights come on, or are you meaning "coming home" lighting function where some exterior lights can be switched on for a short period as you leave the car? Or what else?
Edit:- on the subject of rain sensing wipers, maybe check the spec before buying next time as some might have it as an added factory option.

The car was a demonstrator , so you get what you get.
Secondhand these are far are in very limited numbers so didn't have much choice.
But bearing in mind the price of the car and it being an R Line you would think a rain/light sensor would come as standard.

Rain sensing wipers and auto headlights aren't standard on the GTI either.

Interesting. With our other car an HSE Land Rover with everything you would want on it is perhaps why my view is skewed somewhat.

Yes but that other car you quoted is from another sector of the market!
VW and all other car manufacturers will carry out plenty customer research in each market area before selecting "goodies" to fit as standard as they need to balance out the car's "assets" against the competition while keeping the final price competitive.
What I was meaning when I suggested that you checked the spec before buying still stands when buying a second hand car - normally any savings that can be make buying an "in demand" ex-demo, can be diminished by buying new via a broker and that would have given you the chance to select what you wanted exactly.
Edit:- also, remember that Polo is an "R-line" and not an "R" - a bit like comparing an Audi "S-line" trim level with an Audi "S" - a world of difference between the two, by the way, when I was specing up a new Polo 1.2TSI for my wife in April 2015, I dismissed the R-line available to factory order at that time and was told the 2016+ version would be a completely different spec and would be more appealing - but even although VW had just that day sent out fliers covering the next changes it did not look that way, probably a few people still waiting for that to be true. Don't get me wrong, the concept of an R-line model is good, it was just what it still needed for us sadly meant that we went where I never intended to go and that was for an SEL version! When I looked at the new Polo at its original launch time I considered the SEL a step too far for what we liked/wanted in a small car, it is just when I did my research and "built up" a few versions of Polo and Ibiza, I worked out that going for SEL with a few extras was the best plan for us.

Took the surround off around the nearside light and got that out , it had quite a bit of water in it and that hasn't just come about by a steam wash. I have dried the light out and put it back but the surround was a right ******* to get out. I will probably do the other one and the monitor the lights until its first service.

Well, maybe "better" than what you have, I have just spotted a small black fly doing circuits and bumps inside one of the LED headlights on my wife's Polo!
So these headlights must also have vents/drains!
