Hello, I have a w reg 6n2 and recently something has been draining the battery. We have noticed the ignition lights are staying on even when i take the keys out of the ignition completely.so we are putting the problem down to this. Can anyone suggest what to do?

I should not be posting a reply about a car I've never owned, but, normally, in any make of car, what you see points to an alternator failure. It should be isolated from the battery when it is not charging, it sounds like its regulator pack has failed and is letting the battery discharge through the alternator.

Edit:- Disconnecting the heavy charge lead to the alternator would prove this, as doing that should put that light off.

We have had the alternator tested and is apparently fine. We are thinking some sort of relay sticking but wouldnt know which one and where to find it?

Ignition switch has likely failed. Not uncommon on these as they are getting older
