The new 6C 2015 GTi tyres are 215 45R17's so I wouldn't want to try that swap. I'm not sure from a technical view if they would work either - someone brighter than me will have to tell you that

You need at least 16 inch wheels due to 310mm front brakes. So no, 195/55/15 cannot be used.
