I recently bought a 55 plate 2006 Polo 1.4 TDI.

I wrote a post about the central locking which is now fixed. Thank you to those who helped.

My next Q is whether or not I can buy and program a remote flip style key?

Will one of these work with this car? ATM I have two keys but they are the normal bladed 'non flip' keys without the remote function.

Finally, if this is indeed possible, is there a cheaper way than going to VW?

Go on the eBay and search rclick I think it is, there's been some posts about it on here somewhere, fitted a kit to mine with a little bit of faff but not too much, all instructions are in the thread, I'll try and post a link once I find it

Hi, new to the site but not new to our Polo! It's a 1.2S bought new on 2010 but sadly has basic central locking. No remote locking so I've just bought an rclick remote locking kit and really need some guidance on the easiest fitment! It's only needed to operate the lock/unlock function, no need to have it raising windows etc unless it's an easy job at the same time. Where the best location for the unit? In the door? Under the dash? Any guidance would be a massive help!!
