Engine Light & VWR Intake Kit

Hi All!
New to the forum, I bought the VWR Cold Air Intake System for my POLO GTI 1.4 -2013 and today after a couple of hours driving with the new intake kit the engine light turns on. I read in many forums that this issue may be cause by the new intake is arising poor readings at the Mass Airflow Sensor (MAF). So I want to know if you can help me to correct this issue, I can go with my local automotive mechanic and use his VCDS/VAG-COM to make the changes, but I need to know if this is the correct way or there is another way to do it.
Thanks in advance.
