Hi
My Polo is in Warranty, and as I understand needs a service with an approved garage (i.e official dealerships) to keep its warranty.
However my model polo doesn't have fixed servicing, it has the flexible service function built into it so technically the car will tell me when its needed and not required every 12 months.
Im going to ring the finance company tomorrow to discuss but was wondering if anyone else will know how this works properly as im used to servicing cars the old fashioned way (10K or 12 months)
K

Re: Flexible Service and Warranty
If you do about 10k miles a year then you should be on the fixed mileage/time service interval. The flexible service is designed for high mileage drivers where there is less 'about town' usage and longer runs. I usually change engine oil and filter every 6 months if I am doing low mileages.

Re: Flexible Service and Warranty
hi,
I just rang VW and they advised its 10k for one then 19k for the next then 10k again which wouldnt affect the warranty.
Least its not something I have to do every 12 months. Currently at 6500 miles.

Depending how you use that car, it might ask for a service after 12 months even although the mileage is very low.
My dealer managed to sell me a service package, so as my wife will only do 8.5K miles a year, I'm quite happy for it to get serviced every 12 months.
