we have a 1.4 Polo 80 Match
ever since we have had the car upon starting car from cold, the car really struggles to accelarate like something is holding it back
i know its not a fast car when its warmed up its a lot better

any ideas why this is does it need something changed or looked at?

I think that the fist thing would be to check what temperature the engine coolant thinks it is seeing, or if you can't do that, replace the engine coolant sensor.

just fitted the replacement i bought a febi brand model 3911 sensor...
started the car guess what.....


its sorted!!!!! drivers a lot better now when cold
