No Sign of Engine light!!

Hi,
EML light came on and was flashing. OBDII test said misfire on No. 2 cylinder.....suspect coilpack.
While engin was running I pulled the coil from plug to see if it would stall....just to confirm.
Engine juddered to a halt and now will not start wot so ever.
All the dash lights work, the engine turns over fine but just will not even try to fire.
I also noticed the the EML light does not even come on during the ignition sequence!!!
What is going on...is there a fuse that has blown or something??
