Apologies if this has been done - I have tried the search function but couldn't find anything.

I'm looking for a dog cage that'll fit in a GTi boot without having to put the rear seat down - due to the height of the floor the boot is fairly small and I'm struggling - I have a small-ish dog (Cocker Spaniel) and she'll fit in the boot no problem, but I don't want to have to constantly hoover the boot. Just wondering if anyone has one for their car?

Could you get a rubber boot insert to cover the floor to keep the hair in check? Not sure of they fit the GTI though?

Yeah, that's not a bad idea - I'll have a look.

Try a Google search on 'VW Polo boot liner'; lots of different types available, from those that just cover the floor to others that cover the floor and boot sides/back of rear seats. Some have a flap that folds down over the bumper to stop the dog scratching the bumper when it gets in and out.

Prices vary a lot, depending on what you go for, but there are plenty of choices.

Er, stupid question, but I take it I go for the 'raised floor' one?

As you've got the GTI yes, it'll be the raised floor version.
