Im trying to fix a fault with my rear wash wipe, I have the relay for it but I cannot find where in the car the existing one is. If anyone can point me in the right direction it would be nice. Why did VW place relays in different places about the car.
Thanks for any help

because they're stupid like that. They build cars that function well (in general) not making things easy or look pretty (just look at a mk2 Golf GTi engine bay if you want to see a mess). They are "normally" under the steering column, but I have a feeling they are on the passenger side tbh. Go have a gander in a haynes manual in a shop if you dont wanna buy ine. Id assume they are in the same place regardless of spec or engine size.

Thanks for that, I have looked in the Haynes manual, thats almost as helpful as a chocolate fireguard. Just says they are in 3 positions about the car... :/
Ill find it.. I will, its my destiny

the rear wiper relay is behind the glove box on the passenger side of the car and you get to it from the passenger compartment. its not in the engine bay
