Hi lads and girls

New to polo forum always had volkswagen but have come from golf. Just having a little bit off trouble with dab in polo unit has got black dab connector on rear off unit and also has the amplifier in rear window but it has only got one fakra connector on it and I thought it should have too as can't get any signals at all is it just a case off swapping the amplifiers over

DAB+ reception goes through the aerial and amplifier on the roof

Right now I am confused so could it be the roof aerial then that is causing the problem then

As iichel says the DAB+ signal in the Polo goes through the Ariel on the roof - factory made.
You can make an aftermarket solution by changing the amplifier in the rear window with one capable of receiving both FM and DAB+ signals like this:

I have it in my Polo - Works perfect!

So I just take my original amplifier out put the new one in and run cable from the amplifier to my headunit where would you say it's best to run this cable through head lining or down through sils trims thanks for help buy the way cheers Gordon

Yes - quite simple to do.
Through the trims are the easy way to do it.....

Right guys update fitted new aerial from above and it still says no esemeble what else could this been was a costly mistake any help would be appreciated

How is your FM reception?
Perhaps you have reversed the two connections on the amplifier in the hatch?

Hi what do you mean the reception in car is now crackly I have swapped over orignal window aerial

There are two connections going into the amplifier module:
One for the FM signal and one for the DAB signal.
Try swapping these two connections and see if it helps.

Hey Peter sorted it had to plug the orignal plug back in into widows areial as well and bingo all stations came alive thanks for all help
