Recommendations for Suspension Upgrades?

Hi all,

I have a 6R GTI which is great to drive but I feel that the ride comfort and handling isn't all that great.

Can anyone recommend any coilovers that will give it a lower stance but won't compromise on comfort? I've seen the KW Street Comfort coilovers mentioned before but they are a bit out of my price range.

I am also looking to upgrade any bushes, wish bones, etc to help improve the handling.

Thanks in advance :)

Cheap suspension sets will most likely be deleterious to the handling.

A quick look on their site and KW Street Comfort are priced around £1,000 which to me, is reasonable for a 6R GTi.

Guess I have some saving to do!

In terms of upgrading other parts, like bushes, anti-roll bars, etc, is it worth spending money on the PowerFlex products?

Imo depending on damping of coilovers it won't be the softest of rides either way you go. Tyres have a great effect for handling and ride quality. As for bushes I would replace if worn or if your wanting to upgrade handling etc but then that will sacrifice ride comfort. A whiteline adjustable rarb is one of the best mods imo.

Hmm, interesting about the tyres. I have two Uniroyal Rainsport 3 tyres on the front and 2 budgets on the back so maybe that is having an affect on the handling?

I always make sure that the pressures are correct as per the fuel filler cap (39 front, 36 back).

Do you have one of these RARB mods on yours?
