VW Motorsport Rims 17" for my POLO GTI?

Have a 2012 Polo GTI and the due to kerbing, aging and refurbed wheels losing lacquer am considering getting white VW motorsport rims put on. Other options for the rims come in black gloss and now anthracite
Am looking for VW rims as I want the car looking as OEM as possible. I think the white stands out more tho being a bit more like them/hate them
Couple of questions;
Aftercare/wheelcare for white rims: would it massively differ than that of the current Monza Shadow alloys or any other coloured rims?

I have 17" VW Motorsport alloys in anthracite on my Polo GTI and really like them; the design makes them very easy to clean, and being powder coated, the finish is much more durable than a diamond cut lacquered finish. I got mine from VW Motorparts at the first link in your post, and the service was excellent; very prompt response to questions I e-mailed to them and next day courier delivery.
For the Polo, the current colour options are either Black or White. Anthracite used to be an option for the 6r / 6c Polo, but VW now only have the anthracite option as a 19" wheel with a bolt fitment of 5x112 (the 6r / 6c Polo wheel bolt fitment is 5x100).
Whether or not white would look better than black I think depends on what colour your car is. IMO white wheels would look better on a darker coloured car and black on a lighter coloured car. Also, if you do decide on the white Motorsports, dirt and brake dust deposits will be very noticeable, so you'll need to be prepared to wash them very frequently to keep them looking good.
Really pleased with mine. They don't require any special maintenance; they get cleaned when I wash my car (the front face with a Wo-Wo microfibre wheel mitt, and I can get my Wheel Woolies between the spokes to wash the backs). A couple of coats of wax or sealant twice a year keep them looking like new.

Thanks for the reply
Did you notice any improvement in performance or fuel economy ?
Just not too sure whether to go for it. White wheels with summer round the corner... or wait till the new Polo comes out and surely VW will release a new line of 17" rims ?

Are they available in the 6C standard size? 7.5j are they not?
They look great!

Can't say I really noticed any difference in performance or economy.
I'm sure the next generation Polo will have some different wheel designs in 17". However, if you were thinking of fitting next generation Polo wheels to your 6R Polo, whether or not they will fit will depend on more than just the wheel diameter; bolt pattern wheel width, centre bore and offset all need to be considered.

Joe, theyre actually 7j, which is the size of the optional factory fit Serron alloys that my car originally came with, and I think the standard 17" wheels on the 6R Polo GTI were 7j too. I see the Motorsport alloys are now offered as a factory fit option for the Polo too - they weren't when I got my car, otherwise I would've had them as I'm not a great fan of diamond cut alloys.
