Hey everyone,

I have a 66 plate Polo GTI and I got near enough all of the extras except the passenger airbag deactivation switch when I bought the car.

I didn't know this at the time but it turns out this gets a button/sign on the centre console. Seeing as I have everything else it looks like something is missing as there is one 'button' that is just blank.

I'm wondering if anyone knows of something I can put in to replace this blank slot? It doesn't necessarily have to be the passenger airbag switch, just something that looks better than a blank tile.

If anyone has any ideas that would be great, or if you know where I can pick something like this up that would also help!

That site has a number of choices that will actually work or light up

Those centre console buttons look to be specifically for the 6r Polo and not the 6c. The 6r had provision for 7 buttons above the infotainment unit whereas the 6c has provision for 9, so one of those buttons will be too wide to fit the space of one of the blanks in the 6c. Also, they look to be a slightly different shape/profile to the buttons in the 6c.

This is true.

The only button that will fit that spot is the passenger deactivation button.
However, for safety reasons, I would recommend to only fit the button if it's working. And only serves the purpose of indicating the passenger airbag being deactivated.

Ah that was my worry, and it does make sense for a safety reasons not to put it in. Guess I'll just have to keep it blank and hope someday someone will make a replacement like for the 6R!
