Not too bad thanks, my cousin is a piper fitter so he helped me pop it on, only took bout an hour.
Next is adding the LEDs I've just received, interior and exterior.
Will be sharing that soon I hope!

Is that not really a "Hot Air Intake" - taking air in from the engine side of the radiator means you are preheating it, that is not too handy, why not leave the air intake where VW placed it and add some (more) intercooling of the compressed air instead?

Erm that is where the cold air air comes from, the air duct is on the left side of the grill...

I'm with RUM4MO on and this. Unless there is an extra pipe that is not shown you are drawing air from within the under bonnet area which is not cold air. Not a very good idea unless you live within the polar circles.
It doesn't really matter where the air intake is once the air gets under the bonnet it does not automatically head for your intake.
It does look snazzy though although you will only be able to see that with the bonnet open.
Sorry to be negative but if it's what you wanted and it makes you happy that's job done.

The feed is located at the old air duct box, where air was previously drawn from. I opened up the duct and removed the back so it flows forward as shown. The air is gonna be as cold as it can be as it's coming straight out of the duct. The intake is just at an angle atm, might rotate it a bit more in future

tbh doesn't really matter where the air comes from once it goes through the turbo it's going to be toasty.

Right and wrong. It will get hot but the cooler the starting temperature the lower the final temperature. The lower the temperature the denser the air, with density comes power.
Why do you think Formula One cars sacrifice drag in order to ingest cool air, certainly not for fun, alternatively why do charge intercoolers increase power.
You can't beat physics even if you don't believe in them.

A bit off topic, but the airbox on top has a bit of a ram effect too:

Creating 0.1 to 0.3 bars extra boost above the ~ 4.0 bar that they run on the turbochargers is some free extra power or a small possible increase in MGU-H recovery.
Anyways, I don't see the use of such an intake of the TS, especially not on a diesel engine.
On the other hand, I'm happy the TS is enjoying his mod. If it works for him, that's all we need, right? I'm happy for him.

Current thoughts:
- Bit iffy to keep in place, but finally sorted with many cable ties
- Sounds so so so much better than before, much deeper and grunt-ier
- Noticible better pull at high gears, something I was struggling with before
Is it giving such and such extra BHP? Probably not, but it was fun to do and sounds good so who cares

Quite right, even if it costs you a bit of power the important thing is that it makes you happy . Very pleased that it does, enjoy it and the fact that it is a mod you have done for your self which makes it even better.
