Hi All

I'm seriously considering a Stage 1 Remap for my 6c manual GTI and wanted to know if anyone can confirm the max torque rating for the clutch and gearbox as I don't really want the hassle of a slipping clutch etc. Although I'm not particularly brutal with the clutch, equally I'm not prepared to drive it like Miss Daisy by only apply full throttle past a certain amount of revs to protect the clutch, as this defeats the whole point of remapping

seems revo was worried with a stage 2 map but apr don't seem bothered

the box is rated for 350nm but the way vw are you could probably shove about 500 through it

the clutch on the other hand would probably handle it just how long it would last

Gearbox is the MQ350 same as used in the Golf R and many others.

The box is v strong....the clutch is the weak point but it'd take a stage 1 quite happily....but I wouldnt want to push much more than 300lb/ft through it.

someone has a polo with 380 bhp and 370 lbs/ft so i guess it can take a bit
