Tire pressure?

Hey guys,
I can't find how much to pump my tires up by? I've got a 2016 Polo Match. The handbook doesn't say, neither does the side of the door. The tires themselves say 51 Psi max but this seems high to me.
Any advice?

I have always ran my tires between 29 and 33 depending on the car and tire, at the moment I have Dunlop Sport Maxx RT and they are unloaded pressure of 29psi front and rear and loaded pressure of 33 front and 41 rear and these I run at 30 psi on an everyday basis
Cheers

Ok something is definitely up here, on the petrol door it says different pressures ranging from 30-40psi.
I've done 9000 moles from New without filling the air in the tires up once. I've just been to an air pump and hooked it up, set it to 31psi. It took air out of all the tires!! They were all at around 34psi. I'm completely confused now

Okay, I'd think that all new cars are delivered with the tyre pressures set for economy, which if you look at the pressure listings on the fuel flap start at comfort light loaded up to economy - ie maximum running pressures except for rears fully loaded which is higher.
How you set the pressures will be left to you while taking into account the actual car loading.
Edit:- in the case of my wife's August 2015 Polo 1.2TSI 110PS SEL 5 Door 6MT is Front 35>39PSI Rear 32>41PSI that car, for just driver and passenger is currently set at 37.5 front and 34.5 rear - with 16" wheels.
