2016 GTI Oil Temperature

I've noticed recently that my oil temperature is between 101-108 Centigrade. This seems a bit high to me, especially as the weather has been quite cool here for a couple of days.
I've checked the oil and coolant levels, both are fine.
I'd be interested to hear what sort of temperatures other Polo drivers are seeing with their cars.

Oh god, that's embarrassing - I'm not a regular forum user so I hadn't spotted that there was an existing thread only one day old!
Thanks for not

me, and yes that thread has just the information I need.
Thank you!

These are the highest temperatures I read on my Polo 1.2 TSI 105cv EA111, during this very hot period in Rome (33-39°C):
- 92-93°C (city/traffic);
- 98-100°C (highway).
I'm using Motul 8100 X-Cess 5w40.
Obviously my engine is smaller and less powerfull than the 1.8 TSI (also the turbo is smaller), so I assume it's normal to have lower oil temperatures than yours.

108 -110 is not unusual here with Greek temperatures. Also it did not alarm the dealer when I mentioned it. Said this is normal operating range. Guess they run the engines hotter with lean afr to achieve low consumptions these days.wich brings up the famous debate on thin oils at those engine operating temperatures....
