1.4 85bhp petrol - bad shake on cold start

As above started up the car to let warm up before i go to work and the car shook like mad. Anyone know what this might I'm thinking engine mount but could be something else.

My first guess would be a spark plug fouling maybe due to old age or over fuelling that is being caused by a failing/failed engine coolant sensor. Other thing could be a failing coil.
More info needed, if you increase the throttle away from idle does it eventually clear and is okay when the car engine has warmed up?
Of course if this is your first approach to colder weather since owning that car, it might just be that this car, as it is, will do that in these conditions.
Really guess fixing on the internet is not a science, just lots of "might be"s and "maybe"s !

Thanks for the guesses! I understand there's a lot of maybes, it's 4th winter with the car (had it four years) after it was left for 20-30 seconds it was perfectly line and can't get it to repeat, gonna get a scan later on to see if anything was logged.
Could well be a coil since it can cause misfire and would be most reasonable explanation for it. Spark plug or coolant sensor wise definitely possibilities but would be surprised due to the age/milage (4 years and 30k) of the car. It's due it's service next month so might mention it to them see if they've heard of the problem before.

I'd think that this being its second "big" service will end up with it getting a new air filter, fuel filter, pollen filter, oil filer, oil, drain plug and spark plugs - that is going by what SEAT did to my daughter's late 2009 Ibiza back in 2013. So that will cover most reasons for that behaviour though no point in not mentioning what you have noticed. I don't think that the fuel filter in a petrol car needs replaced at 4 years and 30K but there you go! I think/hope that the coils have improved over the years, I've had that on some of my cars in the transition from mild temperatures to lower ones at this time of year and never had any miss fires logged, maybe just a "bad" set of conditions for the engine ECU map to handle well.
Edit:- I replaced the engine coolant sensor on that 1.4 Ibiza though I think that the once that it logged a coolant sensor "bad" reading, it was probably just a glitch - these sensors get a bad name in the VW Group world in general.

this has happend to me (same car i think) - i sh*t myself when it happend.
After i got my car serviced cant say I've ever experienced it again!

Lol just to mention I have a coil go on my GTI last week
it's 10 years old and was on 18k when it went, on the upside now the misfire is sorted on it it feels a good 25% quicker
but it helps show how any car any milage can go faulty. I'll go scan my car now.

Scanned got from it VAG fault code 956128, which comes up as 01200 in Ross-Tech which is ABS Valves Supply Voltage so this could mean three things;
Fuse(s) faulty
Wiring and/or Connector(s) from/to Brake Electronics Control Module (J104) faulty
Brake Electronics Control Module (J104) faulty
This Fault Code usually effects the Hydraulic Unit (N55) and the Hydraulic Pump (V39).
It was scanned by Carista so I'll be checking it at a later date to confirm it's still there

Hmm well at least it's happened to someone else and never appeared again, especially coming up to it's service soon.
