Vw Polo 6r 2010 3 door

When I lift the handle on the passenger seat, the back rest moves up and out of the way, however the seat itself does not move forward but instead stays in it's current position. This issue doesn't occur on the driver's side, is it an easy fix? I am able to tilt the seat and move it forward and backward without the lever, it's just a problem when people want to get access to the back, since the seat won't move forward!

What can I do?

It's called Easy Entry by VW. Perhaps your car only has it at the driver's side?

I highly doubt it since my car has always had the two front seats move up and out of the way, the problem occurred yesterday when I was hoovering the car. I've found the seat cable (located near the seat rail on the left hand side) to be loose and frayed.

Woah I never knew the Polo had this feature! My 2010 Polo S doesn't have this. Is it only on higher spec cars?
