Looking for some black VW badges for a polo 2014 6R, looked online and can't find any anywhere. Thanks in advance, much appreciated.

Don’t know about the badges but plenty of shops sell black paint.

Try some black plasti dip, it's what I'm going to do with mine. Going to take the badges off and spray them as well as my wheels

Just use plastidip (i recommend looking up how to propperly apply it though)

i done mine in orange, looks pretty good

Back Badges Plasti dipped orange:

is this with no prep? just straight over the smokey chrome finish? and is the finish good and durable?

Steps i took was:

• Cleaned it VERY well
• Dried it VERY well
• Masked off a box around the area, leaving around a 1" gap with exposed body work
• Masked off areas around it that i didnt want covered in dip!
• Sprayed a very thin coat of plasti dip (so like, 60% coverage) and let it dry for around 10 mins
• Sprayed a thicker layer and left it to dry for 10 mins (repeat this step 4-5 times getting slightly thicker each time, but dont over-do it or it drips and looks s**t, just remember that you can always add another coat if it doesnt look right)
• Let the whole thing dry for a couple hours
• Remove all the masking
• Peel of at an angle the "over spray" from the 1" gap we left
• Remove any dip from areas you dont want (eg: inside the badge)
• From past experience, avoid power washers for a couple weeks

Turned out extremely well, i plasti dipped my badges about 10 months ago (ish) and they still look really good today (they will need re-done at some point though, but its just very small imperfections from when i first done it - just remember, its mostly all in the prep (cleaning, drying and masking))

I also dipped my wheels black, they look ok, but dirt and break dust STICK to them, need to propper scrub them to get it off (or use tyre shine, works wonders on rubber paint )

If you wanted a glossy black look, they over a "glossifier" that you spray on after you've sprayed the black.

And if you choose to go down the route of using colours, spray some white before the colour

You could always take them to a powder coaters to wet spray. Mistz on so very coverage and a good range of colours. They spray UPVC windows this way if they need to match other windows and as you can imagine it needs to be a hard wearing finish.

Or alternatively take the badge off and vinyl wrap it, again many colours available and a hard wearing finish. This is something you could do yourself for very little money if you ask nicely at a sign makers/wrap shop.
